"Gimme Shelter": a true story of a tenacious spirit when life breaks into pieces

Apple, a 16 year old girl who's more used to streets than to caring homes, has never had an easy life. Her mother, who verbally and physically abuses her, is an addict and prostitute; and is grooming her daughter to follow in her footsteps. Based on a true story, Apple’s journey plummets her into a perilous struggle drowning in motels and alleys, until she finds salvation in a suburban shelter for homeless teens. With provisions of unprecedented comfort, a collective sisterhood connection and female empowerment, this place inspires Apple to break the shackles of her past and lets her embrace the future with maturity and hope not only for herself but her unborn child. Her tenacious and indomitable spirit will help her not to surrender to fate and to search for a better life for both.
